Information guidelines for construction estimates in the UK
We require you to send us information so that we can work on your estimate. If you need help with submitting your drawings, give us a call because we are always happy to help.
In order to get the best estimate from us please consider the following:
Existing plans & elevation drawings:
- We require the relevant existing plans and elevation drawings to fully understand the works involved.
- We rely on you to provide us with the information we need to complete your construction estimate. Missing information may result in a delay for you in receiving your estimate.
Proposed plans & elevation drawings
Supporting information: Section & detail drawings:
- We would never request that these be drawn specifically for our estimates. However it's a good idea to submit this information if they have been done and are part of the drawing package.
Structural engineers calculations/drawings:
- If the structural calculations have already been produced, submit this information.
- If the calculations have not yet been produced, don't worry. We will discuss this requirement with you.
Separate specification document:
- Specification documents that have been produced for the project should be submitted.
Don't send
Photos/Screenshots of plans:
- We cannot scale or measure them, so please don't send them
Surveys and reports not relevant to our service:
- Asbestos Reports.
- Archaeological Reports.
- Arboriculture Reports.
- Ground Contamination Reports.
- Habitat Surveys.
- Risk Assessments.
- Design Access Statements.
